We’re Open

Omorphos Publishing is live. Three series, three languages, and you can start reading a real sample of any of them today.

What we’re building

We publish original fiction for language learners. Not adaptations of existing books with the hard words swapped out — real stories, written from scratch, at a level you can actually read them. A journalist chasing a story that keeps getting more complicated than she expected. A researcher piecing together where a stolen piece of history actually went. Here’s the full method, if you want the whole case for why this works.

You read these the way you’d read any book — because you want to know what happens. The language part happens alongside that, not instead of it.

Three series, ready to preview

PortugueseNordeste Agora, following journalist Mariana Salgado on the Northeast Brazil beat. Book 1, Tudo que o rio sabe: she’s sent into the interior of Pernambuco to find out what happened to an inspector who vanished four days before he was due to testify.

SpanishEscala Técnica, following Valentina Reyes, who runs a travel channel with one rule: get off the plane, don’t stay at the layover. Book 1, La Mesa de Abajo: a restaurant video in Mexico City that turns into something else entirely.

Korean먼 제비, following Yun Jaesung, who tracks Korean cultural heritage scattered abroad. Book 1, 남의 둥지, 낯선 알: a quiet painting in a Paris museum with thirty blank years in its ownership record.

Each book’s page has its release date and everything else you’d want to know before picking one up.

All three book pages have a Request a Free Sample button — a real look at what the finished book actually feels like, not a mockup.

What’s next

We’ll be writing here regularly — the research behind why this method works, what makes each language’s series specifically interesting, and release announcements as each book goes live.

Want to know the moment something’s ready? There’s a mailing list for that. We’ll use it exactly once per real update — not a newsletter that shows up in your inbox for no reason.

We’re genuinely glad you’re here, and we’re excited to be part of what gets you reading in a language that isn’t your first. That’s not a small thing to take on, and we don’t take lightly being one of the tools that helps you get there.

Not sure where you’d start? Find your level first, or just browse the catalog and see what’s there.
