These terms cover omorphos.com and our online reader, which are run by Omorphos Publishing LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company.
Reading Access
We offer two kinds of early access to our books: samples from published titles, and advance reader copies of books before release. Both are granted through our online reader.
What applies to both
All content in our reader, including text, artifacts, glossaries, and supporting material, is copyright Omorphos Publishing LLC.
Your access link is personal to you. It's issued to you individually and isn't transferable. Please don't forward it, post it, or share it with anyone else. If someone else wants to read, send them to the book's page and they can request their own.
Please also don't post substantial excerpts publicly or reproduce the content elsewhere. Quoting a line or two in a review or a post is welcome and encouraged.
Access is provided at our discretion and may be modified or withdrawn at any time, without notice. In practice we don't expect to do this, but we'd rather be clear about it than imply a guarantee we can't make.
What additionally applies to advance reader copies
An advance reader copy is a pre-publication version. It may contain errors, unfinished elements, or text that differs from the final release. Please don't quote from it as though it were final, and please note that it's an advance copy if you're writing about it before publication.
If you post a review, we'd appreciate you mentioning that you received an advance copy. This is standard practice, and in some places it's expected by consumer protection rules.
We don't require a review in exchange for access, and we don't ask for a positive one. An honest reaction is the only thing that's useful to us.
Purchases
Who you’re buying from
Books bought on omorphos.com are sold by Omorphos Publishing LLC. Our checkout is run by our reseller, Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for direct orders. Paddle takes the payment, works out and collects any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt, so the charge on your statement comes from Paddle. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the payment itself.
What you’re buying
A purchase gives you personal access to that book in our online reader, for your own, non-commercial use. You’re buying the right to read the book, not the copyright in it. Everything in the reader remains copyright Omorphos Publishing LLC, as set out under Reading Access above.
How you get it
After you pay, we email a sign-in link to the address you used at checkout. The link opens our reader, where the book is waiting in your account. If you buy a book before its release date, it appears in your account straight away and opens for reading on release day.
Prices
Prices are in US dollars and are listed on each book’s page and on our pricing page. Paddle calculates any tax at checkout based on where you are, and the total you pay is the one shown before you confirm.
Keeping access
Access to a book you’ve paid for doesn’t expire. Unlike samples and advance reader copies, we won’t withdraw it, except where the purchase is refunded or charged back, or where access is used in a way these terms don’t allow, such as posting your sign-in link publicly.
Your sign-in link and account are personal to you, on the same basis as the access links described under Reading Access.
Refunds
How refunds work for direct purchases, including the time window and what to do if something isn’t working, is set out in our Refund policy.
Books bought from other stores
If you bought a book from Amazon, Apple Books, Kobo or another bookstore, that store’s terms apply to your purchase, and any refund is requested from them.
