Refund policy

This page explains how refunds work for Omorphos Publishing books and reading access, whether you bought from a bookstore or directly from us.

Where you bought it

Refunds are handled by whoever took your payment.

Books purchased from an external bookstore

Every store sets its own refund window and its own terms, and your order record sits with them, so the store’s policy applies to that purchase rather than this page. As the purchaser, you request the refund from the bookstore you bought the book from, through the account you bought it with and using that store’s own refund process.

We never took the payment, so there is nothing here for us to return.

What we can help with is everything that isn’t the money. If a book won’t open, a file is damaged, or you want to know whether a title is at your level, write to us through the contact page. None of that depends on where you bought it.

Books purchased directly from Omorphos Publishing

Who you’re buying from

Payments on this site are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle takes your payment, sends your receipt, and processes any refund. Paddle’s refund policy and buyer terms apply to every purchase. Where they give you stronger rights than this page does, those rights apply.

Our 14-day refund window

If you’re not happy with something you bought, ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase and we’ll approve it. You don’t need to give a reason, and it doesn’t matter whether you’ve started reading.

Some countries give you a right that is stronger or lasts longer, and you keep it. Consumers in the EU, EEA, Switzerland, and the UK have a 14-day right to withdraw, and consumers in South Korea, Brazil, and China have a 7-day right to cancel digital content. Paddle’s refund policy lists the rules by country.

If something doesn’t work

If you can’t open the reader, a book isn’t the one you bought, or something is broken, tell us. We’ll fix it or refund you, and this applies at any time.

What happens to your access

When a refund is approved, your access to that purchase ends right away and the book leaves your library.

How to ask for a refund

Look up your order at paddle.net using the email address you bought with and request the refund there. You can also write to us through our contact page, tell us the email address and the book, and we’ll pass it to Paddle and reply by email. Refunds go back to the payment method you used. How long they take to appear depends on your bank.

Disputing a charge with your bank

A bank dispute is worth keeping for a charge you believe is wrong: one you didn’t make, or a purchase you think was handled in bad faith. If you want your money back, ask for a refund instead. We approve any direct purchase refund inside the window described above, without asking you for a reason, and a refund reaches you faster than a dispute will.

A dispute over a bookstore charge is between you, your bank, and the store you bought from. We aren’t a party to it and can’t resolve it, so the store is also the place to raise a concern about how a purchase there was handled.

If you do open a dispute over a purchase made here, please write to us first. A dispute ends your access to the purchase in the same way a refund does.

Free samples and advance reader copies

Samples and advance reader copies are free, so there is nothing to refund. Their conditions are in our terms of use.
